How to edit a PDF on iPhone

To edit the text of a PDF on iPhone, open the PDF in the Klevo app, type what you want changed in plain words (for example “change the date to 12 October 2026”), and Klevo’s AI rewrites the document for you. You review the result, undo or refine it, then save or share the new PDF. It works on iPhone and iPad and needs no PDF editing skills.

Step by step

  1. Install Klevo. Download Klevo free from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open your PDF. Tap Edit a PDF and choose the file from the Files app, iCloud Drive, or any storage app you use.
  3. Type the change. Describe the edit in everyday words, such as “fix all typos”, “replace John Smith with Jane Doe” or “update the payment terms to 30 days”.
  4. Review and refine. Check the result in seconds. Add another instruction to adjust it, or use undo and redo.
  5. Save or share. Download the edited PDF, share it to Mail, Messages or WhatsApp, or send it for e-signature.

Can’t I just use the Files app?

The built-in Markup tool in the iPhone Files app lets you draw, highlight, add a text box or a signature on top of a PDF. It cannot change the words that are already in the document. If you need to fix a typo, change a date or update a name inside the PDF itself, you need an editor that rewrites the text, which is what Klevo does.
