Research proposal, thesis and academic paper templates
Klevo has 10 academic templates: research, thesis, dissertation, grant and course proposals, literature reviews, case studies, journal articles, conference papers and book reviews. Each one has the standard sections already in place. Type your topic and notes, and the AI drafts the structure and the text for you to rewrite in your own words.
How to use a template
- Open the templates. In the Klevo app tap Templates, or open them in your browser.
- Pick a layout. Tap a template to open it. Every template is a real PDF you can download straight away.
- Fill it in by typing. Type or paste your details and say what you want, for example “set this up for a research proposal on remote work and employee wellbeing, using my notes: …”. The AI fills in the document and keeps the layout.
- Refine and export. Keep adjusting in plain words, undo anything, then download the PDF, share a link or send it for e-signature.

Use AI responsibly
Check your institution’s rules on AI tools before you start. Use Klevo to structure a document, tidy formatting and suggest wording, verify every reference yourself, and make sure the arguments and conclusions are your own.
Frequently asked questions
Are the academic templates free?
Klevo is free to download and includes free AI edits every day. Pro removes the daily limit: in the phone app through the App Store or Google Play, or on the web for $7.99 a month or $29.99 a year.
Can Klevo add citations?
You can ask it to format a reference list from sources you give it. Always check every citation against the original source; AI tools can make mistakes with references.
Can I import my own draft?
Yes. Open your existing PDF and type changes, such as “add a methodology section after the literature review”. See how to change text in a PDF.
Can I write in Markdown?
Yes. The Markdown editor turns Markdown notes into a formatted PDF.
