How to edit a PDF on Mac

To edit the text of a PDF on a Mac, open app.klevo.info in Safari or Chrome, upload the PDF and type the change, for example “change the date to 1 November” or “replace the client name with Acme Ltd”. Klevo’s AI rewrites the document and gives you a new PDF. Preview, the Mac’s built-in PDF app, can add text boxes, highlights and signatures, but it cannot change text that is already in the document.

Step by step

  1. Open Klevo in your browser. Go to app.klevo.info in Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox on your Mac.
  2. Upload the PDF. Choose Edit a PDF and pick the file from Finder.
  3. Type the change. Describe the edit in plain words. Quote the old and new text for exact replacements.
  4. Download. Check the result, refine it or undo, then download the new PDF to your Downloads folder.

What Preview can and cannot do

  • Can: highlight, add notes and text boxes, draw, sign, fill form fields, reorder and delete pages.
  • Cannot: change, reword or delete the text already in the PDF. A text box only covers it.

So Preview is fine for signing a form, but if a date, price or name in the document is wrong, you need an editor that changes the text itself.
