How to send a PDF for signature without making people sign up

The fastest way to lose a signature is to ask someone to create an account first. Here is how to send a document that people can sign straight from a link.

The steps

  1. Open the PDF. Use the iPhone app, the Android app or the web app.
  2. Choose Request signatures. Add more than one signer if you need to.
  3. Share the link. Send it by text, email or chat.
  4. Get it back. See who has opened, signed or declined. The signed copy appears in your library with a certificate page.

What the signer sees

They open the link in any browser, enter their name, draw or type a signature and agree to sign electronically. They can also decline and give a reason. There is no app, account or payment on their side.

Get the document right first

If a date or name is wrong, fix it before you send: type the change you want and the AI edits the PDF. No contract yet? Start from a contract template or describe it to the AI.

Tips for a faster signature

  • Say in one line what the document is and when you need it back.
  • Send it by the channel the person already answers on.
  • Follow up once, a day or two later, with the same link.

Pricing

Klevo is free to download, and your first AI edit is free. Opening a template, turning an image into a PDF, requesting signatures and signing a link someone sent you cost nothing. After that, Pro includes 30 AI edits a day: in the phone app through the App Store or Google Play, or on the web for $7.99 a month or $29.99 a year.
